| The Z obviously isn't very supportive to putting AWD on it. The Z is already a heavy car. Fairly front heavy, too. All of the weight you'd be adding would be up front too, further worsening the balance. Additionally, you'd be putting more stress on the transmission. You've probably seen how often DSM transmissions fail. Part of the reason they fail so often is due to the fact they're AWD. AWD reduces driveline efficiency. This would show up in real world driving by reducing your top-end. This is the Z's real advantage over other cars: top-end. There wouldn't be much of a handling benefit. True, AWD can be more forgiving, but its commonly understood that a properly set-up RWD car with a good driver can be faster around a course. The only reason I could see for doing it would be just to have the only AWD Z; it'd be an engineering feat. People would have to give you props for pulling it off.
